Dr. Wicklund also has a subspecialization in foreign and regional accent reduction and ESL training, and has worked with clients from Korea, Russia, Thailand, China, Japan and Germany. She is trained in a variety of techniques, including Compton PSL for accent reduction. Accent reduction techniques used are articulation placement, pitch and inflection control, and rhythm and intonation in longer sentences. ESL training includes introduction of common American slang phrases, speaking in formal and informal situations and increasing opportunities for English vocabulary building.
